Clear Mission, Shared Vision

by Dr. Stacy Sims
Jun 11, 2025

After four whirlwind weeks on the road in the U.S., I’m finally back home with my family, enjoying some much-needed downtime. One of the most challenging aspects of the work I do is being away from home—but it’s also one of my greatest motivators. As the mother of a soon-to-be teenager, I’m more committed than ever to helping her generation understand their unique physiology and feel empowered as active, confident females.

This mission has always been at the heart of my work. Unlike many in the space, I’ve built my platform to remain independent, impartial, and grounded in science—not swayed by trends or corporate influence. Everything I do is self-funded through the sale of my courses, books, and products. So, when I do choose to collaborate with a brand—as I recently have with the launch of the Women’s Three by Momentous—it’s because I truly believe in their science, their integrity, and their commitment to advancing women’s health.

When I first met the Momentous co-founders, it was clear we shared a mission: to close the knowledge gaps in women’s health. Yes, their supplements are clean, third-party tested, and evidence-based—but what really impressed me was their behind-the-scenes advocacy work that’s already driving meaningful change.

Thanks to their efforts, in September 2023, a group of us—female health experts and thought leaders—were able to speak before Congress in Washington, D.C., to spotlight the massive gender gap in health research and care. (You can learn more about that initiative here).

We know from decades of research that healthier women lead to healthier families, organizations, and communities. Yet women remain under-researched, under-funded, and underrepresented. To put this in perspective: in 2022, the U.S. National Institutes of Health spent $45 billion on biomedical research—yet only 15% went toward women’s health. Female researchers receive about half the grant funding of their male peers, and women are historically underrepresented in clinical trials.

Shortly after our presentation to Congress, the White House announced a new Women’s Health Research Initiative. Yes, administrations may change—but my commitment to driving lasting, evidence-based change does not. I’ll always say yes to partnering with those who share this passion, especially in a time when research funding is so scarce. Momentous has since pledged $500,000 to support researchers working to close the gender gap in health and performance science.

If you’re new to this community—or even if you’ve been here for years—please know that my work remains fully independent and driven by science, not sponsors. Sales of my books, courses, and products fund everything I do, including:

  • Objective, science-backed content across social media and newsletters

  • Free resources—articles, recipes, training tips, and more

  • Publicly accessible podcasts

  • Independent research

  • Advocacy and community outreach

  • Travel to conferences and speaking engagements

  • Staff, support, and operational costs

Most importantly, this work funds truth. It has always been my brand ethos to not be beholden to any company, trend, or sponsor, and if I ever choose to partner with someone it’s because they align with my goals and vision. I will always interpret and share the science as it is—honestly, clearly, and without bias.

The Women's Three™: Redefining Foundational Health

Thank you for being a part of this mission. Together, we’re not just closing the gap—we’re building a stronger future for all women and girls.

Top Tips for Healthy Habits While Traveling

After being on the road for a while I can attest to the fact it can be hard to maintain a consistent routine and healthy habits, but there are definitely things you can do to help set you up for success. This recent Instagram post highlights some of them, including doing research on where to find gyms, walking as much as possible, and packing protein powder for easy, on-the-go protein intake.
